Known for acting in films with patriotic themes; Sarath Kumar is now playing a role which has a patriotic name. In his forthcoming film ‘Vidiyal’, the name of the character Sarath playing is Sudhanthiram.

Interestingly, there is a specific reason behind his character being named as Sudhanthiram. Says Selvaraj, the director of the film, “Sarath plays a dual role in Vidiyal and one of the character borns on August 15, 1947. Hence the name.”

Saying that two heroines are there in the movie and one of them would be Sneha, Selvaraj says a search is on for the other actress. “It is a film with a message for the whole country”, he says.

Meanwhile, Sarath on Sunday inaugurated a ‘Super Car Show’ in Mamallapuram that featured 25 iconic classic cars. The event was organised to raise funds for cancer patients and school buildings.

“One can see a collection of cars at one place. By this fair’s funding we will help children with cancer”, said one of the organisers of the show.
